With the advent of Microsoft Vista, Wacom changed the effective sampling rate of 100Hz to 133Hz in standard mode, although the Wacom driver reports only 100Hz. This is a bug in their driver; however, they have no intention of fixing it until enough requests are received. So, don't hesitate to contact Wacom technical support and make a request for their driver to report the tablet sampling rate correctly. Wacom can be reached at 1-800-922-6613.

WORKAROUND FOR MOVALYZER:
If your tablet is set to standard data mode, you can do one of two things:

1) Set your tablet to recognition data mode. Both the driver report and the effective sampling rate will be 200Hz.

2) While in the device setup wizard (or experiment settings -> input device) and clicking the Acquire button for device settings, note that a value of 100Hz will be inserted for the sampling rate. You will need to test your device in the recording window to note the actual sampling rate (which should be presented in the upper-left corner of the recording window). You can then return to the device setup wizard and/or experiment settings and set the sampling rate accordingly.

NOTE: If you have not set the sampling rate properly. Movalyzer will beep continuously during recording as it verifies the intersample times of each individual sample with the set frequency. It can happen that the the system misses a sample
