Subject Privacy Protection

Password for Subject Privacy Protection

Each subject has a password. A user can only view personal subject information of that subject if he/she has the subject password of, while he/she is still able to export personal information.

1. When defining a new user a user password must be defined. The default is userpass.

2. The user password can be changed using the current password

3. Each subject defined will receive the user password.

4. The individual subject's password can be changed using the current password.

5. When changing the user password you have the option to change the subject passwords of all subjects having the user password.

6. Password recovery of user and subject passwords are available

7. To view a subject's properties the subject password ineeds entered.

8. A subject's private information includes last-name/Alias1 (25 chars), first-name/Alias2 (20 chars), and private-notes (100 chars) fields. These fields are clearly marked yellow.

9. To view the unconceal subject list Privacy Protection (PP) must be disabled. Each time when disabling PP the user password mus tbe entered. The subject list turns yellow. The subject properties of be viewed without repeating the user password. Privacy protection can be restored without password. Subjects whose subject passwords differ from the user password will never be unconcealed.

10. When exporting trials of subjects, personal information is by default not exported unless Include Subject Information is checked. No user or subject password will be requried. Each subject keeps his/her subject password when exporting and importing.

11. Password files database files, and export files containing private subject information have been encrypted on disk and are only decrypted while in volatile RAM.

12. When viewing details when overwriting subject information, personal fields arre shown encrypted.
