Condition Gripper Settings

Gripper (GripAlyzeR only)

This property is displayed ONLY when the input device selected is 'DAQPad' and is effective only if the experiment is a grip-force experiment.

o Magnetic Force (N) specifies the maximum magnet force the gripper magnet will apply to keep the two units together. After the magnet force is reached, the magnet force will briefly switch off to allow the two units to separate. After the brief moment the magnet force will be (again) high (e.g., 20 N).

NOTE: Small magnet forces (< 4 N) may result in the system thinking that it already released once so that the magnet force will stay high for the remainer of the trial. When using large magnet forces (>20 N) the required pulling force may be too high and irreversible damage and calibration changes may occur.

NOTE: Do not force the units apart when a much larger than normal magnet force appears to be present.
